How Often Are Scholarships Awarded?

Our goal is to award scholarships annually.

Which High Schools are Considered Local?

Those located in Central Oregon. This includes both public and private high schools in Crook, Deschutes and Jefferson Counties and the northern portion of Klamath County.

What Monetary Ranges do your Scholarships Generally Fall Within?

Undergraduate Scholarships for graduating high school seniors, the minimum award is $1000. 

Graduate Scholarships, the minimum is $5000.

The range of awards vary from year to year depending upon the amount of funds we raise for scholarships during our annual BandTogether for Scholarships benefit. 

How do you Raise Funds for the Scholarships you Award?

The majority of our scholarship funds are raised during the annual benefit – BandTogether for Scholarships.

Are Donations Tax Deductible?

Healthcare Scholarship Foundation of Central Oregon is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization operating as a dba under Bend Surgery Center Foundation.  Donations are Tax Deductible to the extent allowed by law.

How do Applicants Qualify for Scholarships?
  • Student must meet the eligibility requirements to apply for a scholarship.  One requirement is that scholarship applicants must be a graduating senior or a graduate from a Central Oregon high school.
  • Submit a complete Scholarship Application and supporting information to the HSFCO by the submission deadline. (See the HSCFO Homepage for Scholarship Application form)
